CM Vishnu Deo Sai Inaugurates 51 Mahatari Sadans in Chhattisgarh to Empower Rural Women Through Skill and Self-Reliance
In a landmark initiative to promote women-centric development, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated 51 Mahatari Sadans from Kareli Badi village in Magarlod block, Dhamtari district. Launched during the auspicious Navratri festival, the Mahatari Sadan scheme aims to create dedicated community centers for women in villages across the state.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai emphasized that these centers will serve as hubs of empowerment, skill-building, and entrepreneurship for mothers and sisters in rural Chhattisgarh. “Mahatari Sadans will not only uplift women but also become the foundation for the state’s overall progress,” he stated.
🏡 Purpose of Mahatari Sadans:
- Provide safe and functional spaces for women to gather, collaborate, and learn
- Enable skill development in tailoring, embroidery, weaving, handicrafts, agriculture, and digital literacy
- Promote economic activities through Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
- Foster self-reliance, dignity, and community leadership among women
🌿 Symbolic Launch:
CM Sai also planted a Maulshree tree in the premises, symbolizing growth and sustainability. He handed over the ownership certificate of the Mahatari Sadan to the Aastha Mahila Sankul Sangathan of Kareli Badi.
