Chhattisgarh CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Presents Bastar Development Master Plan to PM Modi

In a significant meeting with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai presented a comprehensive master plan for the development of Bastar, aiming to transform the Naxal-affected region into a hub of basic amenities, industries, and tourism. The meeting, held in New Delhi, focused on accelerating development in Chhattisgarh, particularly in areas impacted by left-wing extremism.

Bastar Development Master Plan
The Bastar development master plan, presented by CM Shri Sai, outlines a roadmap to establish the region as a new industrial and economic center. The plan emphasizes infrastructure development, employment generation, and improved living standards for tribal communities. PM Modi responded positively to the proposal, assuring full support from the central government for its implementation.

Naxalism in Its Final Stages
CM Shri Sai highlighted that Naxalism in Chhattisgarh is in its final stages, thanks to the coordinated efforts of security forces and community participation. He noted that development initiatives have reached several Naxal strongholds, restoring public trust in government schemes. The state government is now focused on making Bastar a thriving industrial and economic hub, providing employment opportunities for youth and improving the quality of life for tribal populations.

New Industrial Policy and Investment Opportunities
During the meeting, CM Shri Sai also discussed Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, which has attracted significant investor interest. The state government has implemented single-window clearance, tax exemptions, and investor-friendly policies to encourage large companies to invest in the region. These measures have already started yielding results, with several major corporations expressing interest in setting up operations in Chhattisgarh.

Women Empowerment and Rural Development
The Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s focus on women empowerment and rural development. Through self-help groups (SHGs), rural women are being empowered to achieve financial independence. Initiatives promoting minor forest produce, organic farming, handloom, bamboo industries, and handicrafts have provided livelihood opportunities while strengthening the local economy. Additionally, startups and small-scale industries are being promoted to connect women with production and marketing opportunities, enabling them to contribute to the state’s economic progress.

PM Modi’s Upcoming Visit to Chhattisgarh
CM Shri Sai also discussed PM Modi’s proposed visit to Chhattisgarh on March 30, during which the Prime Minister will inaugurate several key development projects. The Chief Minister briefed PM Modi on the progress of ongoing initiatives and the preparations for the visit, underscoring the state’s commitment to holistic development.
