Construction of Super Specialty Hospital in Jagdalpur to Enhance Health Facilities in Bastar Region
Raipur, January 20, 2025 — In a significant move to improve healthcare in the Bastar region, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has announced the construction of a Super Specialty Hospital in Jagdalpur. This state-of-the-art facility will be located in front of Jagdalpur Medical College and will provide advanced medical treatment to the residents of Bastar.
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jayaswal conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction site and directed officials to expedite the completion of the hospital. The Super Specialty Hospital will offer modern medical facilities and equipment, ensuring that the people of Bastar have access to the best healthcare services.
During his visit, Health Minister Jayaswal also instructed the authorities to arrange city scan, MRI, and other medical equipment on a priority basis. He emphasized the importance of providing residential facilities for the hospital’s doctors and paramedical staff. Additionally, he directed the expansion of the pediatric ward at Shri Baliram Kashyap Medical College Hospital and the appointment of an operator for the proper functioning of the CC-TV system.
The minister also took stock of the newborn care unit, surgical ward, and maternal and child health facilities. He interacted with patients and their families to gather feedback on the hospital’s services. Health Minister Jayaswal also inspected the cleanliness, paper counter, helpdesk, mother-child center, labor room, city scan center, and drug store to ensure that all facilities are up to standard.
The construction of the Super Specialty Hospital is part of the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to all citizens. With the new hospital, the people of Bastar will have access to advanced medical treatments and improved health facilities, contributing to the overall well-being of the region.
