Education Minister Gajendra Yadav Conducts Surprise Inspections Across Durg Schools, Emphasizes Quality, Infrastructure and Student Welfare

In a proactive move to enhance educational standards, School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav conducted surprise inspections at multiple government schools in Durg district today. The visit aimed to assess school operations, teaching quality, infrastructure needs, and student development initiatives.

At Government Primary School, Ganiyari, the minister found satisfactory school operations. However, at the Government Middle/High School, Ganiyari, he expressed displeasure after finding teachers in the staff room during core subject periods. He issued strict instructions that no NGO or external individual should be allowed entry into school premises without prior approval from the District Education Officer (DEO). A notice was also ordered against Principal-in-Charge Smt. Rajni Purohit for administrative lapses.

  • At Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium School, Nagpura, the minister praised the school’s functioning and student engagement.
    • Announced construction of a dome structure and separate toilets for boys and girls
    • Assured recruitment against vacant posts after review
  • At Government Higher Secondary School, Hirri Dhamdha, incomplete practicals in Physics and Chemistry led to notices against Principal-in-Charge Maniram Mandare and Physics Lecturer Kalpana Shukla
  • At Middle School, Hirri, teaching led by Head Teacher Smt. Hariharno was commended
  • At Government Higher Secondary School, Litia, eligible girl students received free Saraswati bicycles, and dome construction was announced

During student interactions, aspirations to become doctors, engineers, IAS officers, and teachers emerged. Minister Yadav extended his best wishes for their bright futures and emphasized the importance of nurturing ambition through quality education.
