Raipur Police Bust Loan Scam; ‘Lovely’ Arrested with 16 iPhones Seized

In a major breakthrough against financial fraud, Raipur Police have arrested Simran Jeet Singh Ajmani, also known by his alias “Lovely,” for allegedly orchestrating a large-scale scam involving mobile phone financing and fake loan promises.

According to an official statement posted by Raipur Police on X (formerly Twitter), Ajmani enticed victims by offering loan approvals through mobile phone financing schemes. Once the targets committed to the deal, they were duped out of lakhs of rupees.

Key Developments:

  • 16 Apple iPhones were recovered from the suspect’s possession, believed to be procured through fraudulent means.
  • A case has been registered against the accused at Golbazar Police Station.
  • Raipur Police acted swiftly upon receiving complaints, leading to the arrest.

The arrest comes amid growing concerns over digital loan scams that prey on financially vulnerable individuals. Authorities have urged citizens to verify financial offers and avoid unregulated schemes that promise easy credit.

“Raipur Police remains committed to cracking down on fraud and safeguarding public trust,” the department stated.
