President Droupadi Murmu Praises Chhattisgarh Assembly’s 25-Year Democratic Journey at Silver Jubilee

President Droupadi Murmu graced the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly’s Silver Jubilee celebrations today, commending its 25-year journey as a model of democratic values and progressive governance.

Tribute to Founding Vision
The President honored former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s role in creating Chhattisgarh, noting how the Assembly’s 25th anniversary coincides with his birth centenary year – celebrated as Atal Nirman Varsh.

Parliamentary Excellence
President Murmu particularly praised:

  • The “Swayam Niyam” tradition of self-discipline
  • Zero marshall interventions in 25 years
  • Passage of 565 progressive bills including:
    • Women’s protection laws
    • Tribal welfare schemes
