Youth from Remote Villages of Sukma Visit Raipur Under Swami Vivekananda Youth Encouragement Scheme

In a historic moment for the youth of Sukma district, 119 young individuals from remote villages such as Silger, Puverti, Elmagunda, Lakhapal, Shalatong, Sakler, Chhotekedwal, Bagdeguda, and Bedre embarked on their first-ever journey outside their villages to visit Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. This educational tour was organized under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Encouragement Scheme and the Niyad Nellanar Yojana, aimed at empowering youth from Maoist-affected areas.

Exploring Raipur’s Landmarks
During their visit, the youth explored key landmarks, including the Raipur Railway Station, the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, and the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. At the Legislative Assembly, they witnessed the proceedings from the visitors’ gallery, an experience that left them visibly excited and inspired.

Interaction with State Leaders
The youth had the opportunity to meet Dr. Raman Singh, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. Dr. Raman Singh emphasized the role of youth in spreading peace and development in their villages. He encouraged them to become agents of change and contribute to the progress of their communities.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma assured the youth of the state government’s commitment to providing basic amenities like paved roads, electricity, clean drinking water, ration, healthcare, and housing in their villages. He urged them to take full advantage of government schemes and work collectively under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to make Chhattisgarh a developed and prosperous state.

Focus on Development in Maoist-Affected Areas
Shri Sharma also discussed the state’s strategy for the economic development of these villages under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana. He highlighted the establishment of new security camps near these villages to strengthen safety and ensure the benefits of welfare schemes reach every corner of the region.

A New Hope for Rural Youth
For many of these youth, this was their first visit to Raipur and a chance to witness the state’s progress firsthand. They expressed their desire to contribute to the development of their villages and bring about positive change.

Government’s Commitment to Remote Areas
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is working tirelessly to ensure that basic amenities reach the remotest areas of the Bastar region. Initiatives like the Swami Vivekananda Youth Encouragement Scheme and Niyad Nellanar Yojana are bridging the gap between rural youth and the mainstream development process, offering them new opportunities in education, employment, and overall growth.
